We understand that the Pre-Kindergarten stage is not only an exciting and incredible time in your child's development but also a crucial period for nurturing their abilities and supporting cognitive growth, as they undergo rapid development. That's why in this classroom, we maintain a small class size with a maximum 1:10 teacher-to-child ratio, ensuring personalized attention and the ability to meet each child's unique needs. This approach enables us to provide tailored support, preparing children for a smooth transition into kindergarten and equipping them for long-term success in their academic journey and beyond.
Our commitment to your child's development and kindergarten readiness is reflected in our well-balanced curriculum. This curriculum is designed to facilitate progress in core pre-academic skills such as literacy, math, social studies, and science. Simultaneously, we place a strong emphasis on nurturing creativity and well-being through engagement in art, music, and health and wellness activities. In addition to these foundational areas, our uniquely developed Bible curriculum holds a special place in our educational approach. In addition to these engaging centers that promote cooperative play among peers, we recognize the importance of quiet and independent moments for children. Therefore, we have intentionally designated areas where children can have some solitude and engage in individual activities.
Connecting with the Community
To provide rich, real-world learning opportunities, we regularly invite professionals such as firefighters, park rangers, and other community members to visit our school and give engaging presentations. These visits not only introduce children to various roles within the community but also broaden their understanding of the world around them through firsthand, interactive learning experiences. By bringing the community into the classroom, we inspire curiosity and help children develop a sense of belonging and civic responsibility from a young age.
In addition to hosting guest speakers, we believe that direct exposure to the local community is one of the most effective ways for children to learn. For our Pre-K 4’s class, we organize a variety of field trips throughout the year, allowing children to experience new environments and make meaningful connections to the lessons they are learning in the classroom. These trips vary each year, but often include visits to an apple orchard, a behind-the-scenes tour of a local grocery store, a community garden and farm, the zoo, botanical gardens, and the desert museum. Each field trip is carefully planned to provide hands-on learning opportunities that enrich the curriculum, spark children's natural curiosity, and allow them to explore different aspects of their community and environment safely. These experiences not only reinforce classroom concepts but also encourage children to develop a lifelong love of learning.
Performances & Graduation
At our preschool, we hold a deep commitment to academic excellence, but we also cherish the opportunity to strengthen the bonds between our school and families through memorable and heartwarming performances.
During the Christmas season, our talented students come together to stage a delightful play, which is a special occasion where they showcase their creativity and talents to their families.
As the school year draws to a close in May, our students participate in a captivating end-of-year play and performance, which is followed by a formal preschool graduation ceremony. This event marks a significant milestone in the children's educational journey, and it's a moment of pride and celebration for both our students and their families.
These performances not only provide a platform for our students to shine but also serve as heartwarming occasions where our preschool community comes together to celebrate the joy of learning and the growth of our young learners.
