Our School Information
Programs
We offer part-time and full-time programs for children 4 weeks up to 7 years of age. Children in our part-time program generally come from 8:45am-2:15, however you may drop off or pick up earlier if needed, as long as it is within the 5.5 hr. time frame. Our full time program, allows children to attend for up to 10 hours, or longer for an additional fee. For those families who may need an earlier drop off or later pick up, our school is open from 6:30 am to 6 pm. We ask that children please arrive by 9 am as this is when our most important learning begins! We understand that some families may have varied schedules and we do our best to accommodate this.
Payments
We offer a discount for multiple siblings attending. Payments are made weekly, semi-monthly or monthly and we accept checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, debit cards and money orders. We also accept D.E.S. child care subsidies!
Curriculum
Our academic curriculum follows, the Arizona Early Learning Standards and the Infant Toddler Guidelines. We offer a Multi-experiential, Christian-based curriculum that includes Language Development and Phonics, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Sensory Play, Cooking, Drama, Gardening, Dance, Music and Bible Stories with crafts and games! Each classroom uses a weekly theme based curriculum which is geared toward the learning needs and abilities of the children.
Teachers
Teachers are required to be C.P.R. and first-aid trained and to have a fingerprint clearance card with a background check. Many of our teachers have been with us for several years. Our teachers are required to receive at least 22 hours of specialized training each year, and several are attending college courses in early childhood education.
Meals
As part of the Empower Program, we support their goal to promote the development of good eating habits at an early age. Our school provides a healthy morning and afternoon snack daily for the children, and parents provide their child’s lunch.
In order to encourage good nutrition, when packing your child’s lunch, please include a meat or cheese, vegetable and fruit, as well as a grain. According to state regulations, lunch time drinks must be 100% juice or milk. We will be happy to provide milk for those children who do not bring a drink. Please do not pack candy or soda in your child’s lunch, as they do not provide any nutritional value.
As a fun treat, we also offer Pizza on Wednesdays every week, for an additional cost. Along with pizza we provide the children with vegetables and fruit and a cup of milk.
Quality First
We have been participating in the First Things First, Quality First Program since its inception in 2010. As participants in this program we receive ongoing coaching, support, training, and teaching materials.
We are constantly trying to improve our preschool and the Quality First program helps with this by providing assessments, a plan for improvement and the funding for new teaching supplies. They also provide workshops, and help with college class funding for our teachers.
